in console Ctrl+Alt+F1 -> mouse does not work

Hello all,

I am using Kubuntu 7.10. When I switch to the basic console by means of Ctrl+Alt+F1 the mouse does not work. How can I activate it?

Thanks,

Diego

You need to install/enable the general purpose mouse driver 'gpm'.

Check if you have got 'gpm' installed, if you have, enable it to start at boot time.

Thanks!

A simple

sudo apt-get install gpm

and then reboot the computer did the trick!!!

Thanks again,
