Your question is not clear.
Quote:

SMTP servers are to send e-mails to another smtp server. Not to retrieve e-mail from. SMTP servers don't understand POP/IMAP protocol.

Put aside the jargon, and try to explain what you want.

Hi
I have 2 mail servers runing qmail on fedora with mx entries 5 and 10. both has same users. i want an imap or pop server which can
provide mail to users from both the servers.

means user should have to enter only one account detail in outlook or evolution for downloading mails.

Thanks & Regards

You need to consolidate the e-mail received from both servers in one third server. Than, you use this third server as pop/imap server for your users.

To consolidade the e-mail in the third server, you can use fetchmail to download the e-mails from server 1 and 2. You need to install a pop/imap server on servers 1 and 2.

Another option is to have /var/spool/mail on a NAS/SAN server and both servers 1 and 2, as the imap/pop server uses this shared folder. But I think this setup is more expensive.
