images to video.

Is there any software for convert a lot of images to video.Or to create an video like one by one slide of images.?

Mencoder can do this, recently I had a some tga images to convert to avi here's the the command I used
mencoder -ovc xvid -xvidencopts pass=1 -mf on:type=tga:fps=24 *.tga -o demo.avi
run 'man mencoder' for more info
