image blinks when playing a dvd
 

hello,

I just installed linux (Suse 9) last weekend and everything is fine.

The only problem I have is that when I play a DVD with kaffeine, the image blinks as if it was showing only one image per second.

I have a p4 2Ghz and a nvidia geforce 2go.

what can I do?

It may be your drive parameters need tweaking. Do a search on here for hdparm and dvd

and I didn't need to bother with a console because I could configure the DMA settings with yast.
