Use the Synaptic Package Manager to remove the CD-ROM as a repository.
On the Gnome Desktop upper bar click the following: System -> Administration -> Synaptic Package Manager Enter your password. When the Synaptic Package Manager window opens click the following: Settings -> Repositories When that window opens it will be on the Repositories tab. Near the bottom you will see CD-ROM. Uncheck that entry. Then click on the Close button. Close the Synaptic Package Manager. The Update Manager should now look to the Internet for all of its updates. |
