Ieee 1394

Also, I was trying to find out if my kernel supports the IEEE1394 more specific USB 2.0 + FireWire by SIIG, Inc. Also, I was reading online when updating the kernel to make a boot disk. After the boot disk is made you are suppose to test the disk and to make sure the system boots from the disk. How do you do this? How do I see if the machine has recognized the IEEE 1394 card?

USB 2.0 support is only included in Kernel 2.6. There is a 2.6 'test' out right now. You can give it a try if you would like.
