Idea for a project with linux(es) - What's possible?
 

I'm starting a project with linux, some big bad idea I have. I'm fed up with all the web site bullshit, all the "1337" script kiddies, and the "fads" for making web sites look good. Screw it all. I want to do something that could actually mean something.

So, my idea is to create a productive intranet in my house. I want to get a linux wireless router set up, a data center (a computer..I got that covered), and a wireless robot. It's a broud idea, but I like challenges.

Right...Is it possible to get a box set up to be a wireless router? About 4 non-wireless ethernet ports on it for computers in range, and of course the wireless aspect. What do I need? Where can I get information?

Then, I want to get a wireless robot to explore my house - which I don't know what its purpose will be yet. I want it to have linux on it, and connect to my computer through some nifty apps I can design. I want it to use wheels...how can I get linux to turn on/off or modify a servo?
