icons on start panel
Hi guys,
I am using Rhel5 and I'm new to linux so pardon me for sounding a bit green around the ears. :) Anyway..I got an error message a few weeks ago about how the start up script that displays icons on the far right of my start panel was malfunctioning and it was going to be deleted from the start-up. I didn't really know what it really meant and I just clicked ok. My wireless eth0 status icon as well as my amarok status icon are hidden on the start panel. How do I get it back/add that script back to the start-up? Any pointers would be much appreciated! Thanks~ |

For starters can you indicate what desktop environment your using? (gnome? kde? other?) ciao, jdk |
Your panel has a START button? You DO have a big problem! :)

@jdkaye
I have a gnome desktop environment. @snatale (Applications-panel) :) woops |
I used the following command in Terminal in Ubuntu when I accidentally deleted the panel: It brought back the original panel:
Restart of OS is required. Code: gconftool-2 --recursive-unset /apps/panel |
mirchichamu! It worked. :) thanks for the input.
