iceWM + pcmanfm launch apps from desktop icon without execute file dialog?

Hi 'yall,

New here on linuxquestions.org, I've used various distros for short periods over the years but I have what I would consider a newbie question.

I'm running Arch using iceWM without a login manager and using pcmanfm to manage the desktop.

I'd like to be able to double click my desktop icons to launch their respective apps but without the "Execute File" dialog popping up.
I've scoured the web searching for a solution, with little success.
(perhaps my search criteria were inadequate..lol)

I've tried changing the file permissions which did not work.

Any advice on this matter (other than use a different WM/Desktop environment) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance and Cheers.

P.S. could this possibly be an issue for polkit?

[Solved]

It's a setting in preferences of your active file manager see link:

This must be pretty well known and basic.

I feel a bit foolish....!!!!
