IBM T61 random reboot. Possibly graphics related. Linux mint 17.0
Hello,
I've been battling random reboots on my T61 System with linux mint for some time now. Here's an example of a log file Quote:
Quote:
The kernel in grub is vmlinuz-3.13.0-24-generic. I'm writing this in the software rendered environment from the linux mint recovery mode. It seems stable, i've never had a random reboot in this mode. I appreciate any advice about this problem. Cheers, Ryu |

100 degree Fahrenheit or Celsius? If Celsius this is way to hot and likely the cause for your issues.

For a screen shot. I go off site. https://imgur.com/
Then upload my screenshot. Grab the direct link they give and post the link here in my reply. Example from my bike tuner laptop. http://i.imgur.com/vjCbheU.png Edit: Mint has inxi for showing members here your system hardware. Example again from my laptop. Code:
$ inxi -Fxz |
thanks for helping me out.
Yes the temperatures were in celcius!! I didn't think that was a lot for a laptop? Oh no. Maybe I'll try a new fan or something. Those temperatures are way to high, which will cause the system to shutdown eventually. Over time this may even damage the hardware. Check the cooling system, maybe try to not regulate the fan.

Thanks Tobi. I'll try to check the system out and disable thinkfan.
