IBM PC Cam question
Hey all. I have an IBM PC Cam and I was wondering if anyone knew how to get this up and running. I have searched everywhere and I cant find any links to download drivers for it. My computer detects it, but for some reason I cant find any drivers. Thank you!
Oh ok. I don't know of any specific software itself its not the drivers if slakware found it its the actually program to run it. My suggestion have a look at sourcefore if there is any software on it it will find it.
I'm assuming thats what it is check that how to it will help in finding stuff but since I don't have one and never used one ever I don't really know but those two places should give you some help. Sourceforge and linux.com have you tried googling it.

Yes I have tried doing a google search and it brings me to this website and it's like a how-to, but it doesnt give a link to the actual download. I do not have the IBM Cam software, Im not sure what I did with it, but it was for windows only, meaning it was a .exe file. I did some command last night and it brought me to a blank screen and at the bottom it said "Reading video0" but it has been doing that since 10pm last night and nothing has happened. I'll check out that site. Thx!
You are chasing software to run the acual program. Well I did a search on sourceforge and came up with some software I've never tried it so give it a go if you want

Ok, I got my cam up and running. I installed xawtv and that seems to be working well. However, I dont have audio, which I really don't care about since I didnt install it for that purpose. But does anyone know how to make it so that I have color instead of just black and white? Or is it supposed to be bliack and white?
much love,
nikki
That I don't know have a look at the ibm web site or your documentation to see whether its colour or black and white and in regards to audio are you talking about hearing it or actually speaking.
Make sure you actually have it working cause default on my system or maybe it was just me I couldn't hear anything.
I'm not sorta sure what your asking in regards to sound.
