[SOLVED] I Will the latest version of Ubuntu work on my Dell inspiron 1150

I have never used linux before, will it work on my dell Inspiron 1150? Where can I find the simplest and easiest instructions to install it?

For older computers such as yours they recommend Xubuntu or Lubuntu rather than the flagship Ubuntu.

The best way to tell if it will work is to burn a Live CD and take it for a test drive (try without installing). Simple and easy instructions here: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/help/...re-you-install

Thanks for your help, I now have Ubuntu running on my Inspiron 1150, and it's performing nearly as good now as when it was brand new.
