I was wtching a you tube video and my pc froze and I had to shut the power off to get

I really love Linux Mint. I like it better than windows! I am having a problem with it though, as I wsa watching a you tube video it froze and i could not escape it so I shut the power to my PC. Upon rebooting it would not. so I deleted it and reinstalled it only I dint shrink my windows partition and it worked after re-installation but, again this morning it would not boot again. I had checked the DVD with md5 and it found no problems so if anyone can advise me on my re-installation i would very honored for the advise.

I think that the installation is okay. I say this because the computer appears to work until you start watching streaming videos.

It is possible that your disk drive is full. Youtube videos are temporarily stored on the disk drive in the /tmp directory. They should automatically be removed but they could build up if you are watching several in a row.

Hi,

This can be related to flash plugin .
There is a long story about flash player poor performance on linux.
You should try to install native flash player.
Check this link :

For 32 bit architecture should be similar .
The download plugin link is broken but you can go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and choose the version you need.

Good Luck.
