Please i would want someone who would like to assist me as i start to use linux because i am naive to this platform.Also want a step to step approach to this platform called linux i mean a self explanatory article or tutorial thank you.

As Shahnawaz Uqaili said, here on LQ are alot of people who knows very much about Linux, RHEL, CentOS, ... .
But some tips for the future, when you start a new thread, never use something like you used now (i need help, help me, ...) such threads are mostly ignored.
Also, be a little more specific of what you want to do or what the problem is
Give us your specific OS, version, ... .

Welcome to LQ. You are at a right place to learn Linux.
If you have any query you can anytime post a new thread any surely you will get quick response to that thread.

You can also learn many things on google.

You will surely have bright future ahead if you learn Linux quickly.

First you may want to read all the documentation provided from your linux OS. E.g. if you choose Red Hat or Centos, check the official documentation on their respective sites. To learn about the command line (shell) usage, independently from a specific linux distribution, a good starting point is http://linuxcommand.org/tlcl.php. For specific questions about a specific problem you encounter, LinuxQuestions is the right place to ask.

You should start by learning how to use basic commands and for example get familiar with file and directory ownership/permissions. I strongly recommend using the archlinux wiki. I've learned almost everything I know about linux there.

and BTW, facebook, gmail and yahoo are NOT called distributions, as is shown on the left side of your first post.

OpenSuse, Ubuntu etc. are NOT Linux. They are "distributions" of Linux. That means, Linux is core kernel, only. Novel and Cannonical are "companies" which have build "distributions/flavours" of Linux like OpenSuse and Ubuntu. This means that have built softwares like "package managers", "desktop environments", "mailing clients" etc. which "facilitate" the human interaction with the kernel.
