Welcome to LQ,

Perhaps you should provide some more background as in the full command you've used, if not just the title of the thread, the version you are running of your distribution, and whether you are running as a VM or not.

Please be advised that Kali is a specialized distribution, not recommended by the maintainers of it for it to be installed.

There's also A FAQ about it at the top of this forum.

As stated by rtmistler, more info is required.

Maybe your system clock is wrong?

PS:
Quote:
Is Kali Linux Right For You?

As the distribution’s developers, you might expect us to recommend that everyone
should be using Kali Linux. The fact of the matter is, however, that Kali is a
Linux distribution specifically geared towards professional penetration testers
and security specialists, and given its unique nature, it is NOT a recommended
distribution if you’re unfamiliar with Linux or are looking for a general-purpose
Linux desktop distribution for development, web design, gaming, etc.

Even for experienced Linux users, Kali can pose some challenges.

This, including apt confusion, happens to me often after resuming a suspended VM.

Wink

Debian repos do this to me on occassion, of late, even with the clock correctly set. Maybe set to UTC? (haven't tried this)
One of a few reasons I have gone to Devuan/Miyo
