I think this turtle needs a change of shell

I have all the necessary downloads for mplayer but when i try to install it with the rpm-Uvh mplayer*.rpm command it just says that the bash shell doesnt recognize that command. So wouldnt that mean that I would have to change shells, and which shell will most likely work with that command.

Are you trying to install as root? Is there a space between rpm and -Uvh? Try this as root:
rpm -Uvh mplayer*.rpm
