Welcome to LQ Ob_,

You've stated that you have multiple accounts on the computer, not the one you are posting from.

You'll have to recall what the account name is.

One possible way to do this is to look at the /etc/passwd file. This lists the users known on the system and should contain that other user name.

If you've forgotten your password, and the files are encrypted, this is a far more difficult, if not possibly non-recoverable situation. You can try to reset that account's password, which does involve some root privileged commands.

A little bit more on the situation would be helpful. It's not clear if I'm guessing your situation correctly.

Yes I have multiple accounts.. yes I know the name, but that on my other hard drive. I use timeshift I try to reset it, I know the password I just can t login. On the other account I can login, but not this one...

I had secure bot when in timeshift so it run if it is x86, but it is x64. Stupid of me,, I will try run timeshift again when I don t have the secure bot on...

I also have root passwd.

I am get any clearer ?

I haven't used timeshift. So I do not know the impact it can have on your account.
