I really need HELP !!


I just formated linux partition with PM 8,and now it wont let me boot my Windows XP,instead iam in some kind GNU command prom..........I just dont feel losing 70Gb of data,someone help me boot my XP plz !!!

You might try booting from you Windows XP CD, run the recovery console, a type the command FIXMBR or FIXBOOT, or both. If you only formatted your linux partition this should work.

Try using a windows startup disk and do fdisk /mbr.

Ah..i solved problem for some times,i installed back Fedora,so its got boot loader,but if anyone know how to uninstall linux properly id apreciate help,because i could use some disk space that linux is taking up right now (and i dont even use it)

There is certainly a way to do it from Windows, but since I don't personally use windows, I can't give you an accurate answer. Search this website and I am sure you'll get detailed info on how to do this.

Depends How you used PM (Partition Magic) IF you DELETED windows partition and created a new linux partition and formatted it ... then Windows XP is history ...
