I place a fire-started ,and ports come disable


here we go,I running ubuntu 9.04 server edition,I place a pci express
model PEX8S952 8 Port PCI Express Serial Card ,and ports are disable there is a place or some one can help me ,thanks in advance blue

If I understand correctly (?), you purchased one of these, plugged it into a PCI slot on the motherboard, booted your machine (running Ubuntu 9.04) and the RS-232 ports don't work.

If this is correct please reply with the information asked for here and maybe I or someone else can be of more help.

yes ,I did purchase one of those 230 ship .I so far only can get to the defult ports .all help be well apreciated .thank you!! blue
