Question I need some with mint login window

I've recnetly changed my login window to one showing username profiles. But to
my surprise it also shows other profiles or accounts to be specific.
here's the list

backup
my own account "the one I use"
gnats bug reporting system
ircd
libuuid
mailing list manager
speech dispatcher
www-data

first question how do I gain access to these accounts
second question is there a reason that are listed in the login window at startup.
third question can any of these be deleted or removed from view.

any help would be appreciated.........................................

first: login with them. that's what a login manager is there for.
second: yes. they are users, even if they're not persons.
third: a) probably not and b) depends on the settings in your login manager
and last: with what exactly do you need help? anyhow, MUCH more info needed here. which distro, which login manager, what did you change and how exactly, posting config files or screenshots of preferences windows, .... and don't just post one-liners, show us that you're working on it.
