I need some really really basic help.
I want to put Linux on a seperate hard drive on my Athlon W2K machine.
I got this advice from Ace's Hardware Forum:
Or just download the Redhat ISOs, burn 'em to CD-R, set your BIOS to boot from CD, and go. Linux should detect your existing Windows system, and install a bootloader to allow you to select between Windows or Linux when you boot.
Unfortunately I don't know which to download burn and install:

the other's (srpm) are source code, which is nice if you're into programming, but otherwise unneeded.

You'll need these three, the first one alone isn't enough (RH9'S install demands all of them):

1st CD is bootable.....2nd n 3rd r non-bootables....tho u require all 3 of dem 4 installation !
