Unhappy I need some help mint xfce

I started up my computer and found that firefox would'nt maximise the window to it's full size. neither can I get folders to open in the browser that are in the menu bar. The 3 buttons that allow you minimise, maximise are not there. I cannot drag the window to bigger or smaller size. The feature to work in another space is gone. I can't figure out whats going on, any ideas would be great. using mint 13 xfce 64bit

Was it ever working properly?

My first inclination is to upgrade to the current version of Mint.

sounds like your window manager may have crashed. Do you see it in the process listings?
ps aux |grep xfwm
Also as a quick fix, have you tried logging out and back in again?

helplinux, xfce
