i need help installing alsa

hello
im installing alsa, i already install the drivers and the utilities.
but now as i use alsaconf i got the following error :

No supported PnP or PCI card found.
Would you like to probe legacy ISA sound cards/chips?

im using gentoo and i have an intel sound card "ICH6". and the system recognize it, but not alsaconf.
i have gernkernel v: 3.3.10 with all updates.
did someone have an idea what i can do?
