I need help!

I have installed Fedora15 on VMware player. I am trying to access my superuser account with the su command. The terminal gives me the option to type in my root password, but when i try to type it in, nothing shows up. What am I doing wrong?

You're not doing anything wrong. It's normal behavior when typing in ones password for su that it doesn't show in the terminal.

Any reason to use such an ancient version of Fedora? Fedora 15 is obsolote and totally unsupported, you should switch to a newer and supported version.

ALL passwords are "hidden"

as you type it in
it WILL NOT DISPLAY IT
this is for your security

also Fedora15 is 5 versions and 2 YEARS out of date
it when End Of Life back in June of 2012
Warning:
DO NOT USE FEDORA 15 !!!
IT IS UNSUPPORTED !!!!
