Hi,

did you select the appropriate monitor? This sounds heavily like standard VGA. Select the correct monitor model, or if you know the specs of your monitor insert it manually.

Ok...have you checked your monitor specifications and/or your video card specifications?? It could be that 800x600 is the best you can do.

Hi,

what about running
Code:

system-config-display
?

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

Anyway, the important question is what window manager are you using? If Gnome, then go into System->Display Configuration and change your resolution. If KDE, then go to Preferences -> System -> Screen Configuration, change the settings and pray.

If you change it, hit apply, and it goes back, don't be discouraged. Hit CTRL+ALT+BKSPC a couple times to restart X, and then weep if it didn't take.

Open another thread for another question...don't tack questions on to old threads. Have you read the instructions that came with that program??
