Hi i m installing vodafone_k4201 usb modem on ubuntu 12.04 but after installing i am unabel to launch the vodafoneK4201 modem application.

dear frend! vodaphone modam is actaully Huawei E220 USB Modem. You can use it as a modem without using any third party dialing software. See here for details. ok see yuo hope it wokrs. best of lcuk!

I hv alerdy installed but when try to launch the in ubuntu Dash home it it dosent while other applications are been launched properly.

what ur instaled. use only netwrok managr. If you use network manager the modem should be plug and play. If you don't then you will need to use a dialer. As I said before, this page has detailed information about your particular USB modem. There is no need to install any third party application. Use it like you would a standard modem. That's what it is. A USB modem.
