I lost my Desktop and X11

Yup.. installed ubuntu 9.10 on my laptop. everything was fine.
but i installed the zlib for developing qemu...
after it is not entering into my desktop....
anyway i undersand from the x11.log file that
module i810 is lost.
i understand that i have to install x11 again...

so please tell me to uninstall the x11 completely
and reinstall the x11 once again from fresh

I'm confused as to how/why zlib -- a compression program/lib.. would affect your video.

A quick look at it's dependencies on my (deb sys) does not show-- even remotely how it would.

Something else is wrong.

It would be better to find out in detail just what the problem is.. rather than *just* start re-installing xorg.

Please give more details.. a list of your xorg log(s) and more information on just what you did.. and possibly a list of the aptitude/apt logs of when you installed the zlib (libs) etc.

Post the lines in your log where it refers to this.
