I have EMU-404 sound card can someone help me to install this card
 

I have tried to install this creative lab em10k1 card. what is the process to complete this task? Whenever I type: lsmod I can see the card but it is not on my small speaker icon at the top in UBUNTU 8.04. MY CONCERN AND QUESTION IS HOW DO I MAKE THIS CREATIVE LAB CARD MY PRIMARY CARD BECAUSE I PAID ALOT OF MONEY I WOULD HATE IT TO GO TO WASTE. Please keep in mind I'm a newbie but I have learn a lot in a short time. :newbie:

Sorry I took so long to get back here. It looks as if there is partial support so far. You'll need at least alsa version 1.0.15. There is more on configuration here. Again, my apologies.
