I have a canon mp495 downloaded driver


I got a canon mp495. I downloaded driver now what do i do with it? My operating sys. is Ubuntu 14.04

Did the drivers come with any kind of documentation or instructions?

I did a quick Google search and it turned up quite a few hits. Perhaps this blog post could be of use?
