i got ndiswrapper v.1.1 working on slackware 10.0 but i can't "get online"
Im so close!, ndiswrapper has detected my wireless card. what i want to know is, if i should uninstall the wireless tools package because they might be having a conflict.
im also thinking that because i have encryption, i should use encryption on the ndiswrapper config and not on the wireless tools...
im so close. but i don't know what i need to do...

use iwconfig and get rid of the tools. To get it to work you will have to:
modprobe ndiswrapper
iwconfig wlan0 essid "YourNetName"
iwconfig wlan0 enc XXXXXYourKeyXXXXX
dhcpcd wlan0
That should get you going.

ndiswrapper's kinda freaky
well, it should work indefinetely. as long as i don't reboot. installing it was tough, i had to take out the card, put it back in, install uninstall... you know, crazy stuff. but if i could make it run once, i can do it lots more times.

yeah
well, since its the great and powerful slackware, rebooting is an oddity... unless i want to turn it off.
the easiest thing to do is turn on ndiswrapper by editing the modules.conf file, something like that i read...
i've been using slackware for about 1 week, its... addictive... i just configured my 3 botton mouse, next stop... ALSA...
well, im just very tired... you guys are great, thanx a lot for the help.
