I feel like an idiot... where did my aptitude install go?

Hi, all --

I just used aptitude to install flightgear, a piece open-source flight sim software. It completed successfully... but where did it install to? I'm using GNOME; how could I get a link to the file in my "Applications" directory? This seems like a dumb question, but I couldn't find the answer in man aptitude. Thanks for any help!

try pressing alt-f2 and type flightgear to launch it
you can use the menu editor to add it to the menu

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately, the launcher didn't seem to recognize the application name flightgear, and "flightgear" didn't show up on the list of recognized applications. Should I try running the install again? Just out of curiosity, where is all the data for this program likely stored?

try opening a terminal and type flig and press tab, see if it autocompletes for yo

It didn't... aptitude has listed flightgear in my installed packages, though. =\

in a terminal window or a run dialog box type fgfs
