I don't want my flash drive as read-only!

I just finished customizing my fresh install of Ubuntu 9.04. I inserted my flash drive and tried to copy some files to it, and it gives me the following message:

Error while copying to "disk".

The destination is read-only.
How can I change it so I have full access to it? I right clicked and when to the Properties of the device, and then over to the "Permissions" tab, but the message was that the permissions couldn't be determined.

What should I do?

Well since it is a flash drive, and may have a different device each time, your best best is to remount it as read/write.

mount -o remount,rw /dev/device /mount/point/path
You may have to specify the fstype in there, too. Next time, give the man page a go
