I don't understand Linux AT ALL

Decided to try Linux Ubuntu 6.10. Well lets just say the install was a breeze but that was about it. I'm trying to install the Linux ATI drivers for my system but I have NO understanding of the command...or whatever I'm supposed to do. Can someone give me some guidance here? Please understand Windows has institutionalized me and I have no idea what I'm doing with Linux at all. Where do I go to enter a command or script to get this driver to install?

Welcome to LQ!

Try these instructions Here. Obviously, use the section for "Edgy Eft".

The commands need to be typed in a terminal window, which should be under Accessories in the Applications menu.

Have a look at the Ubuntu help site for heaps of other information on using Ubuntu.

I hope this helps
