Hello

i'm using Red Hat 7.0
and i installed MYSQL in this version
mysql-3.23.36-pc-linux-gnu-i686.tar.gz

i can run 'safe_mysqld &'
but when i run 'mysql' or mysqladmin

it's displaied

ERROR 2002: Cant't connect to local Mysql server through socket
'var'lib'mysql/mysql.sock' (111)

anyone know how to fix it?
plz help me

hahah, i got it
becasue, i got 2 mysql , and i ran the old one in local/bin
so i cant
but when i run in /usr/local/mysql/bin it work!

but another problem, how can i take the old mysql out?????
