I cant get the resolution higher than 800x600 in Ubuntu 10.10

Hello Everybody,

I have installed Ubuntu 10.10 as a virtual machine under my Win7
windows. Everything is OK except that I can not get resolution
higher than 800*600. Actually there are two options in Display
Settings Menu 800*600 and 640*480.
But my laptop has 15.4 inch monitor so its normal resolution is 1280*800.

Would you please help me in this problem?

With best regards,
Hassan

You have to install the appropriate drivers into your VM to get higher resolution. Install the Guest Additions (Virtualbox) or the VMware Tools (VMware) in your Ubuntu.
