I downloaded Puppy Dingo Seamonkey and it works just great running from the CD.

Much faster than any version of Windows.


I want to install it on my Fat 32 formatted hard drive.
Nothing else is on the drive and nothing else will be on it. The computer will be entirely devoted to Puppy.

After searching and browsing all the threads I learned that there is a "Universal Installer" One of the posts said to look under "setup" or under "system" .

But it's not listed in either "setup" or "System"

Can anyone point me in the right direction. Thanks

Puppy is seeming much faster because it is running from the ram i believe. If you run it from your harddrive it will be about as fast as any other light distro for all practical purposes.

Look through the "start menu" for the universal installer, i coudlnt' find it at first either but its there in some menu.

Well Ilooked and looked and I still can't find it.

From what I have seen on the internet, I think it was on the menu in earlier versions. I am using Version 4.

Maybe I overlooked it,
could you tale another loop and get back to me.

It is on the Setup menu on mine (setup is 3rd down on main menu - the installer is the first item on the third "set" of items and has a lightning bolt as its icon - there are a whole heap with wands as their icons and then it changes to lightning bolts).
