Unhappy i cannot copy flash to a switch without any flash.

Hi,
I've been trying to copy a flash from one switch to another, by copy from tftp and xmodem also. But i'm unable to
Using xmodem i'm having error massage invalid argument
for the other way i've tried i'm having no such device.
I'm tried to set ip to the swith and connect a network cable but still not able to copy.
When i've connect the cable no light from the port on the switch or my computer

I'm trying this on a cisco switch catalyst 2960G series

Actually i manage to backup a flash from another same model of switch through ftp. Its this image i'm trying to transfer back to the one without flash.

copy a flash? flash is a phsyical memory device, you can't copy it... you can copy the data on it... you are referring to an IOS image are you? in which case actually provide information about what you've done... we can't help you with "no such device" when you've given no information about what this device is, what software you're using or anything at all...

what state is the switch in at all? have you only got rommon to work with? where do you get with the stanadrd cisco docs? http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/130...m_generic.html
