I can not open the bios setup after installing an encrypted disk during system installation
Hi
i installed Linux Mint 17.3 Rosa xfce 64 bit on my laptop dell inspiron 3521 i chose the option of encrypted whole disk during installation. Because there was a problem and system start first legacy mode boot and dont want boot, so i have to manualy change every time boot order for UEFI Everything works good system boot ok but now there is no way to enter bios setup only displays the possibility to enter the password to decrypt the drive no f12 or delete button works. |
Did you encrypt your EFI partition?

I do not know exactly, option was "to encrypt disk" during installation and i set yes

What is the normal key or key combo to access bios?
What are you changing on this boot sequence, how do you access it or does it open on it's own? Do you use terminal to use command shutdown? |
I installed system from live usb on HDD with no problem
next I did the first run but the system does not want to get up boot sequence was Legacy boot hdd usb divice network UEFI boot Toshiba UEFI TOSHIBA UEFI something like this so I press F12 and I changed manually to Toshiba UEFI and system get up and work I did not want to make the changes manually every time so I disabled Legacy boot mode everything is working but now cant enter bios again |

I accessed before disabling legacy boot mode via F12 dont use terminal to shutdown |
From a linux terminal run this and post the output - install efibootmgr in need first
Code:
sudo efibootmgr -v |
