you don't have any service script installed. if you installed it from source, then you probably won't. If you installed from a prebuilt package for your distro then it would be there, so for simplicity sake I'd suggest you uninstal it and just install from yum or apt-get etc. The alternative is to write your own script, which is often fairly simple by bastardizing an existing init script, or there *maybe* an init script in the installation source in a /contrib/ directory or such like.
