I canīt start
hi
well, this is what it happens when Iīm triying to install mandrake 8.2: -please choose the CDrom drive to use for the installation Sony DVD-ROM DDU12 LG CD-RW CE D-8080B (I choose one) - that CDrom disc does not seem to be a Mandrake Linux installation CDRom. Retray with another disc? (no because it is a mandrake cdrom installation) - which driver should I try to gain SCSI access? (there is a list) - please enter the parameters to give to the kernel - error ismod failed so my question is what is the parameter what I have to give to the kernel? is is posible to install mandrake in my computer? :( pd, sorry for my english, but I write this without my dictionary :study: :p :p :) |
im not sure but try this anyway....
ok, stick the cd in your primary cd drive.. ie first one.. thats probably the dvd one?
and make sure, its set as the first boot device in your bios.. restart your system, and the installer should start fine... try it, and if that doesnt work.. i dunno, im sure someone else might do.. though   |
layla,
Is the mandrake cd a downloaded/burned copy or purchased copy. If it's a burn, you may need to re-burn it. Also, if it's a burn, are you sure it's the first install disc? I believe there are two iso images for the install. j. |
yes it is a download cd copy, I download it from linuxiso.org, and I burned it with nero, so I think is got to be fine :( , I hope so...
I create a boot diskette mushroom_sock, cause I donīt know how to do what you say, but I think it has to be the same  I think the problem is the scsi driver( I think , ;) because when I say to install from the dvd-rom it makes a noise like it is starting moving the disc, but it seems it canīt (bad boy) thank you guys well as you probably notice Iīm spaniard so thatīs what I say writting without a dictionary, I forgot it so... besitos or kisses :p :p |
