Hi intlhns88 and welcome to LQ.

Please use the edit button to edit the thread title of your post to remove the profanity which is not acceptable on LQ.

I'm inclined to move your post to the Linux Server forum to perhaps give it better visibility for your question related to Ubuntu server. If you feel that will help, please use the Report button and in the text state to please move the thread to the server forum.

You may need to tell us more about how you are accessing the console but this may be correct I think. http://askubuntu.com/questions/81371...cheme-as-ubunt

Hello and welcome to LQ. Thanks for the edit.

I can't access those images to determine, my firewall blocks.

Well, the presence or absence of colors is determined by the --color option of ls

I know that most of my VMs use colors by default, although one of them doesn't. I've never bothered to seriously investigate why it's different from the rest.
