Question I can't install OS Elementary Luna on my Hard drive, I need a walk through.

Hello everyone, I have used Jolicloud since its inception but now I want to advance to a more sophisticated OS which is "Elementary Luna"> I have an old EEE 1005 HA which has a completely empty hard drive and am having problems installing. The hdd has only one partition and I don't know how to move forward so any assistance will be much appreciated.

This looks like a good guide. https://webcache.googleusercontent.c...ient=firefox-a

You can basically use any Ubuntu or mint web page. Most of it will be exactly or similar.

You only need a single partition but the installer ought to offer you a choice of automatic install to entire disk. I'd consider that.

Thank you for your help jefro, but that was the guide I was unsuccessfully using. My little Asus did not like it and would not let me past step 4. However I have an another problem at the moment in that the machine has become unbootable, or more accurately unswitchonable, I think something has become detached inside so I shall have to fix the physical problem before continuing with my saga. I will let you know of any progress. Thanks again.
Oll an gwella,
Frank
