this is an obvious one... but have you tried things that would onviously return items?? i.e. - "napoleon dynamite" or "mad world" (just thinking of the most recent searches i did that returned a ton of results)

Also, what plugins/networks are you using?? gIFT has the availability to use OpenFT(great but small), gnutella(very large), and FastTrack(VERY VERY LARGE used by KaZaa)... If you are only using the OpenFT network.. it wouldn't be surprising if it returned nothing... check the apollon configuration and see what plug-ins you're using

I had that problem and it was definately due to my firewall, if that helps any as to figuring out why it won't return anything. Mine did the same thing.... it just kept searching forever! Heh. I wanna say something like I was behind a NAT firewall or something though I am not too saavy on the network lingo - sorry - but I recall something like that coming up. I just went to Limewire though and I'm not complaining.

I don't have a firewall installed yet I have the same issue (or at least I believe that there isn't a firewall installed). I have even tried the search listed by halo14.
