I can't burn the Open suse DVD

I downloaded the Open Suse 11.0 DVD to Ubuntu. When I put a blank Maxwell DVD into the drive to burn it, my computer couldn't read it. I'm normally able to play DVD's just fine. Does this mean my drive can not burn them? If so, is there a cheep way to remmidy the problem? Thanks,

Josh.

I am not sure what do you mean.

Blank CDs can't be read, nor mounted... They don't have anything inside, they don't even have a file system.

You have to put the blank cd into your drive, then just use your cd burning software to pick the iso and burn it into the blank cd.

Sorry, I meant that my machine didn't even acknowledge that I had inserted a disk. No icon indicating a blank disk appeared, and when I tried to write the Iso, it prompted me to insert a disk. Even when I booted windows, the same thing happened. Hope that helps.

I see. Maybe there's a problem with maxwell cd's on your writer. I would try one or two other brands, if the drive can't read any blank dvd at all under linux nor windows then I think that the drive must be defective :(
