I am using win98se i have also installed linux at my home pc


Hi,

I am using win98se i have also installed linux at my home pc,can i able to use telent to connect to my linux machine

ya ofcourse you can get connected to your linux machine using telnet.
just search a bit on google for the basic commands etc for this.

Telnet is obsolete for remote login; I strongly recommend that you use ssh for security reasons. Your Linux system most certainly has SSH installed and it is likely that the SSH server is already running. Try getting an SSH client like Putty for Windows and use it to log in to your Linux computer.
