hawaraj,

As you may be aware, Ultimate Edition is a 'spin-off' of Ubuntu. I currently run Ultimate Edition 2.7-32Gnome and believe it is a very good distribution. Some folks consider it 'bloated' because of the large number of programs installed on a new installation. You will find Ultimate Edition 2.7 very easy to run and interesting to explore.

Check out the Ultimate Edition web forums. Http://www.ultimateeditionoz.com is a good alternative to the main forum and user friendly.

Best regards,

marvinudy

Why bother with a derivative? All of the same packages can be installed in Ubuntu.
