I am using Mandrake V 9.2 and I am clueless
I am running Mandrake Linux V 9.2 and after the install it goes into the shell command menu , Where is the user friendly version of this I saw in the screen shots, It like somewhat like windows, not this command prompt stuff, what do I do to get to that, or should I use another type of Linux ?

Log in, then type in 'startx' If everythin's been configured properly by the installer, you should get a graphical interface (KDE by default on Mandrake) Dave |
Thanks for hepling me, but I got ' Fatal Error, No screens found ' whats your advice

when you installed.. You should install X and kde or gnome.. If it doesn't work, you may have installed something wrong. If there's an option, just install everything :P

Try logging in as root and type in 'XFdrake' this should allow you to configure X Windows. Dave |
