Stop using Redhat 9. it is over a decade obsolete. STOP USING IT. download something new. Try Fedora as the current descedent of Redhat, or maybe Mint or Ubuntu.

Hello

If it were me, I'd go with RHEL 6.0 or later, or use CentOS 6.0 or later in its place.

I was working on RHEL 6.0, but I spent a lot of time to install guest additions on oracle virtualbox, but could not find the soutions. And therefor I came on RedHat.

RHEL 6.0 is Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0

As noted above, Red Hat 9 is very outdated and obsolete, and as such, no longer supported.

CentOS 6.x is (mostly) RHEL 6.x without the non-free RH parts:

Fedora is more "cutting edge" with newer and less tested software.

CentOS is built from the RHEL sources and almost identical.

i will check it out CentOS, Thanks

It is perfectly possible to use Fedora as a server for HTTP, DNS, etc. However, most people prefer not to do so since each release only receives support for a limited period of time before you have to upgrade to the next release. Since most people want servers to be stable and have long term support, CentOS is the most widely used choice for people who do not want to pay for a RHEL subscription.

Since you also asked about virtualbox-guest-additions, follow this guide:

Hello

I'd personally recommend 6.0 or later as previously noted.
