I am creating a website Server what is the best partition for /var /root /home etc.

Hi Keen All Buddies,

Please help.

I am creating a website Server what is the best partition for /var /root /home etc.

I am using RAID 1
I have 2 pcs 500G HDD. I use mirroring.

Yes /var needs to be a respectable size on a web server, I would even make it it's own partition, since apaches default HTML folder is /var/www

And if this is a LAMP server, keep in mind the location of the MYSQL Database. /usr/..../mysql/data

Based on your question That's my best guess at a response.
