I am amazed....

I just took a moment to stop an look around my room. I have been a hardcore Windows user for over 10 years and never understood Linux at all. I tried in the past to use it and with poor results.

But yesturday, with just a little help from my brother (Who also was/is a windows user for even longer then me.) we successfully setup a apache HTTP server (Would post the link to it but wasn't sure if it would violate any forum policy.) and an FTP server to change the web server files.

I am in shock we got this to work and am pretty proud lol.

Congratulations.

So you see, Linux is not (always) difficult.

At first, linux will be confusing for a beginner, but if you keep at it, you'll be a linux geek in no time. Welcome to linux.
